Le Marce
There is a good way in Italy to explore the countryside, it is called “Marcia” and it literally mean “to march”.
It has nothing to do with military parades, but it indicates a walk at a regular and more intense pace to reach a finishing line.
In the past just families or old couples would participate but in the past few years I have noticed that young people are re-descovering the beauty of passing few hours in the nature in a safe organized event.

Veano, la Provincia di Piacenza

Piacenza sits on the shores of the river Po, the biggest in Italy, and has in its countryside several valleys of smaller rivers which flow into it.
These pictures come from the Valley of the river Trebbia, around the village of Veano, passing through some “agriturismo” (open farms) .
